Sacred Womb Healing

Jane's drum resting against a stone wall

In 2024, I (Jane) trained in the Sacred Womb Healing technique with Willow Ferguson. This involves a sacred ceremony centred on the heart and womb, held within a sound-based and therapeutic framework. My background in Body Process Psychotherapy combines well with my training as a womb healer. Sessions are offered one-to-one, in a space that is calm and nurturing. The session is gentle by nature, though it is also powerful and can reach places where trauma and pain are deeply held.

It is believed that the womb, whether physically present or not, carries a great deal. Creativity, identity, history, ancestral trauma and sometimes pain can dwell there. This work creates a space to attend to that with care and without pressure. It does not require a particular belief system, and no prior experience of this kind of work is necessary.

What does Sacred Womb Healing support?

Although the focus is on the womb area of the body, many clients of all genders can benefit from Sacred Womb Healing. Clients come for many reasons, including (but not exclusive to):

  • trauma
  • sexual abuse
  • healing the mother wound
  • ancestral trauma
  • menstrual issues
  • experiences connected to fertility, pregnancy, birth or loss
  • repeating patterns
  • stress
  • womb related issues
  • endometriosis
  • birth trauma
  • emotional processing connected to personal experience
  • seeking a sense of reconnection with the body and self
  • creativity, identity and personal meaning
  • recovery or integration following medical procedures

How the sessions work

Sessions are one-to-one. Starting with a consultation, I will guide you through the session, which will also involve connection to breath and relaxation. The work involves me using sound in the form of drum, rattle, voice and more, calling in my and your ancestors to assist in the healing ceremony. Clients have said they feel a deep connection, shifts and changes in how they feel during the session.

Sometimes the shifts clients experience can be more physical, supporting relaxation and awareness. At other times, the changes are more on an emotional level, creating space for processing past experiences. The two often move together, because the body and the emotional self are not separate things.

If you would like to discuss whether this way of working is appropriate for you, you are welcome to get in touch.

This work is not a medical treatment and does not replace appropriate healthcare.
